Process

We process your order using your own Gerber files and parts lists. We supply all the necessary hardware, components and boards in accordance with our suppliers' manufacturing standards. We then optimise the panel configuration to reduce costs and guarantee excellent results. We comply with international standard IPC-A-610, but we can also adapt to meet other requirements, where necessary, to offer you the optimal solution.

Assembly of electronic boards

To meet the current demands of the electronics market, CLOOS has invested heavily in new high-tech installations to expand its production capabilities (assembly of standard and SMD components down to 01005, micro-BGAs, assembly on all substrates, FR4, ceramic, flex, aluminium, for PCBs from 1.5 m to the infinitely small). Our SMD machine park is efficient, modern, and at the cutting edge of technology to meet all aspects of electronic board assembly. THT assembly is fast, accurate and repeatable thanks to a process that uses a computer-assisted table of coordinates. Our selective machine enables us to meet the most exacting technical requirements, including PCBs with components on both sides.

AOI Testing and programming

Qualitätssicherung – egal ob für Leiterplatten aus der THT-Fertigung oder SMD-Bestückung – beginnt immer mit der AOI (automatische optische Inspektion) und endet mit dem In-Circuit-Test oder einem Funktionstest. To guarantee high-quality products, CLOOS electronic develops and produces testers to meet specific customer requirements, including in-circuit testing, boundary scan, data recovery, data matrix traceability and creation of test reports.

Coating protection

The protective coating for Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) is an essential process to protect electronic components from environmental influences such as moisture, dust, and chemical substances, and we offer automated selective coating with an automotive-certified protective lacquer. This method not only increases the reliability and lifespan of the electronics but also ensures compliance with high standards, particularly in harsh operating environments or for applications subjected to high stress.

Potting

Potting, as a complete protection for systems, provides absolute sealing and high mechanical strength, even in the presence of vibrations. We offer this method, especially for assemblies exposed to high loads, to ensure their reliability and durability.

This image impressively illustrates how the coating protects the electronic components from moisture, ensuring reliability and durability in demanding environments.

Parylene conformal coating

Parylene is the thinnest and highest-performing coating available worldwide. Characteristics of Parylene conformal coatings include water resistance, resistance to corrosive materials, vibration reduction, low-stress application, complete conformity, high flexibility, low water permeability, high dielectric strength, enhanced mechanical stability for PCBs, electrical insulation resistance up to 15 kV for a thickness of less than 15 micrometers, and its absolute non-reactive characteristics, making it suitable for use as a medical-grade bio barrier. This allows for the production of direct implantable electronic boards without additional casings.

Manual Gluing

We have installed a complete ventilation system to safely and risk-free use all common two-component adhesives. Manual gluing is especially used in the assembly of complex components or in the gluing of enclosures in pre-series production, where the great advantage lies in the flexibility, thus allowing product modifications to be implemented without delay.

Automatic Gluing

We offer automated gluing for enclosure assembly, which is particularly effective on 4-axis robots for series production and on 6-axis robots for complex parts, while incurring minimal costs for tool creation. This process reliably meets requirements up to a protection class of IP 67, and it is also important to highlight the high shock resistance that results from the use of the correct adhesives.
